Infant, Two Adults Critically Hurt on E Linden Ave in Linden, NJ

Linden, NJ (October 6, 2026) – Four people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash in the 200 block of East Linden Avenue in Linden on Monday, October 5. The collision occurred at about 2:45 p.m.

Surveillance video appeared to show a dark Jeep SUV speeding along East Linden Avenue before the crash. Witnesses said the Jeep went around a red pickup into oncoming traffic and struck a sedan, causing it to spin and hit a parked car. The impact damaged four vehicles.

The Linden Police Department reported that two adults and an infant were critically injured. A fourth adult sustained injuries that were not life-threatening. All four were taken to University Hospital in Newark.

East Linden Avenue closed in both directions between Willow Glade and Wood avenues.

Police arrested the Jeep driver.

The Union County Police Department is investigating what led to the wreck.
