Union, NJ (October 4, 2026) – Three people were injured in a multi-vehicle wreck on Morris Avenue in Union on Sunday, October 4. The collision was reported at about 2:59 p.m.
Dispatch reports indicate that multiple people requested EMS. Although three injuries were initially reported, crews evaluated four people at the scene.
Crews also worked to remove a vehicle from the roadway and arrange for towing following the collision.
Local authorities are investigating what led to the crash.
Our hearts are with everyone as they recover.
Fault after a multi-vehicle crash in Union is determined by how each driver acted and how the crash unfolded. More than one driver may share responsibility when separate actions contribute to the same collision and the resulting losses.
To show what happened, police reports, photographs, witness accounts, and available video can help explain each driver’s role. These materials may also show the order of the collisions and how each vehicle became involved.
Under New Jersey law, your own PIP coverage generally pays early medical bills even while fault is still being worked out. This coverage can help with treatment costs while responsibility for the crash remains unresolved during the claims process.
Depending on your losses, you may seek compensation from the drivers responsible for lost income, vehicle damage, pain and suffering, and other crash-related losses. The amount available depends on the harm caused and the circumstances surrounding the claim.
If you were partly at fault, your recovery is reduced by your share of responsibility. Being more than 50% at fault can prevent you from recovering compensation from the other drivers under New Jersey’s comparative fault rule.
In New Jersey, you generally have two years from the date of the crash to file a personal injury lawsuit. If you miss that deadline, the court can throw out your case, no matter how serious your injuries are.
If fault is disputed, a car accident lawyer can review the evidence and deal with the insurance companies for you. This support may be especially useful when several drivers blame each other or an insurer refuses to take responsibility.
