Can a Scooter Rider Be Entitled to Compensation in Rahway, NJ?
A person riding a scooter who is hit by a vehicle in Rahway may have grounds to pursue a personal injury claim. In New Jersey, scooter riders are generally entitled to the same legal protections as other road users, and a driver who fails to yield or otherwise causes a crash can be held liable for resulting injuries. Even when injuries appear minor at first, it is worth understanding what options may be available.
Rahway sits along several well-traveled Union County corridors where vehicle and scooter interactions are common. St. Georges Avenue itself runs through much of the city and carries steady traffic throughout the day. Nearby roads also see regular activity, and intersections in this part of the county can be unpredictable for smaller vehicles and riders.
People hurt in these crashes may face road rash, fractures, or head injuries, some of which may not fully present until hours after the accident.
In New Jersey, comparative negligence rules mean that a rider may still be eligible to seek compensation even if they are found partly at fault, as long as their share of fault does not exceed 50 percent.
