Newark, NJ (September 4, 2026) – A woman's vehicle flipped and landed on a lawn early Friday, September 4, after a speeding driver rear-ended her on Eastern Parkway near Cameron Road.
The crash happened around 4:23 a.m. Newark Police say the man, who was driving at a high speed, struck the back of the woman's vehicle, causing it to roll onto the property. The woman is listed in stable condition at a local hospital.
The driver fled the scene after the crash. Police have not released a description of the man or his vehicle.
Police continue to search for the driver responsible.
