Two-Car Wreck Causes Injuries on Reid St
July 15, 2026

Elizabeth, NJ (July 15, 2026) – A two-car crash left one person injured near Reid Street and Magnolia Avenue on Wednesday, July 15.

According to initial reports, a car struck a fence and stopped with part of the vehicle extending slightly over a ledge. Everyone had safely exited the vehicles before responders arrived.

Emergency units arrived at about 11:33 a.m. and found that both vehicles’ airbags had deployed. Crews evaluated one injured person inside an ambulance. Authorities have not confirmed whether that person required hospital care or released details about the injury.

The Elizabeth Police Department continues to investigate what caused the collision.

We hope the injured person has a smooth recovery.

How Do I Get a Police Crash Report in Elizabeth, NJ?

You can obtain a police crash report through CrashDocs after the Elizabeth Police Department completes, reviews, and approves it. The document usually becomes available within three to five business days. You will need the EPD case number, crash date, and last name of a driver or another person involved.

After a nonfatal crash, the police record can show how the investigating officer documented the vehicles, roadway, statements, and other important details. Some injuries may also become more noticeable later. Medical records provide separate evidence of your symptoms, treatment, and recovery.

Across Elizabeth, drivers regularly use busy roads such as Routes 1 and 9, Morris Avenue, North Avenue, and East Jersey Street. Heavy traffic and closely spaced intersections make accurate documentation especially important. New Jersey police use the NJTR-1 form to record investigated crashes.

Once the document becomes available, compare it carefully with your photographs, insurance details, and personal notes. Check the names, vehicle information, travel directions, and diagram for errors. Contact the department promptly if you find an important detail that appears incorrect or incomplete.

Even when the police record supports your account, it does not decide the claim on its own. Insurers may also review photos, medical records, repair estimates, witness statements, and video. Keeping these materials organized can help show what happened and how the injury affected you.

Missing records and conflicting accounts can make an insurance claim harder to manage. A lawyer can gather available evidence, communicate with insurers, and explain the deadlines that may apply. An attorney can also review the police document without treating every statement in it as final.
