We hope the rider has a smooth and full recovery.
Roads like Egg Harbor Road are well-traveled roadways through Washington Township in Gloucester County, connecting to routes such as NJ-42 and NJ-55. Intersections along corridors like this can be difficult for motorcyclists, since smaller vehicles are harder for other drivers to see, especially at busy crossings. When a passenger vehicle and a motorcycle meet at an intersection, the outcome for the rider is often more severe than for the driver of the larger vehicle.
People hurt in motorcycle accidents commonly face broken bones, joint damage, or long recovery periods tied to leg or hip injuries. Some effects, such as nerve damage or reduced mobility, may not be fully clear until well after emergency treatment ends. Ongoing physical therapy and follow-up care are common for riders recovering from a serious leg injury.
A personal injury lawyer can help a rider understand what steps to take after this kind of situation, including how to document the scene, gather witness accounts, and communicate with insurance companies. Legal guidance can also help clarify whether another driver's failure to yield may have contributed to what happened.
