Elizabeth, NJ – Multiple Injured in Stiles St Duplex Fire

Elizabeth, NJ (November 24, 2025) – On Saturday, November 22, multiple people were injured following a fire at a duplex on Stiles Street in Elizabeth.

Emergency responders were dispatched shortly after 9 a.m. after reports of heavy smoke and flames consuming the home. About 80 firefighters worked for two hours to bring the blaze under control, but not before it spread to the neighboring house, forcing its residents to evacuate as well.

The Red Cross was on site, distributing blankets and providing support and assistance to at least three affected families. Elizabeth Fire Department officials confirmed that at least six people were transported to local hospitals with injuries.
