Union, NJ – Three Children Injured in Crash on Morris Ave & Kean Dr

Driver Injured in Crash
April 17, 2026

Union, NJ (April 17, 2026) – A serious crash in Union left three children injured on Tuesday, April 14, at a busy intersection. The accident occurred around 8:58 a.m. at Morris Avenue and Kean Drive.

Union Police reported that a white Toyota was traveling westbound on Morris Avenue when it swerved to avoid a silver Honda turning left onto Kean Drive. The Toyota then struck a telephone pole head-on before its rear end made contact with the Honda.

The impact caused heavy front-end damage to the Toyota, while the Honda sustained minor damage. Emergency units responded to the scene and began assisting those involved in the collision.

Authorities said five people were inside the Toyota, including two adults and three children. All three children suffered injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Officials confirmed that one of the children sustained life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Honda, who was the only occupant in that vehicle, was not injured.

Police have not released the identities of those involved. Investigators are reviewing the circumstances that led to the crash. The investigation remains active.

Our thoughts are with the injured children, and we hope for their rapid and total recovery.

How To Document Injuries After a Car Accident in Union County, NJ

You can document injuries after a car accident in Union County, New Jersey, by seeking medical care right away and keeping clear records of all treatment. Early documentation helps connect injuries directly to the crash and supports follow-up care.

After a collision, medical visits create the first record of injury. Doctors note symptoms, diagnoses, and treatment plans, which can show how the injury developed. Some symptoms, such as pain or stiffness, may appear later, so follow-up visits help track changes over time.

Photos can also support documentation. Take pictures of visible injuries, such as cuts or bruises, to show how they change during recovery. Also, keep a simple log of symptoms, doctor visits, and daily limitations, since this may help provide a clearer picture of how the injury affects your daily life.

Saving paperwork is another important step. Medical bills, prescriptions, and therapy records can show the cost and scope of treatment. These documents may help explain the full impact of the accident on your health and everyday life when dealing with insurance claims or reviewing options.

In these situations, a car accident lawyer can help organize this information and explain how it may apply in a case. Legal guidance can also help clarify how New Jersey laws and insurance coverage may affect the process.
